Annual Meeting 2010 Convened in Manila
The 2010 J-SEAM Annual Meeting was held in Manila, Philippines, from 16-17 June, where 37 participants from the official government departments of 11 nations gathered at a conference with the technical cooperation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
This was the first annual meeting for J-SEAM, which has been repurposed from JARCOM, which saw the well-prepared implementation of South-South Technical Cooperation, and the enhancement of networks between JICA and member agencies in Southeast Asian countries.
Study Visit Team from Lao PDR to Malaysia and Thailand concerning the Quality Assurance in Education Sector during October 4-9, 2010
A study visit of high level officials from Ministry of Planning and Investment of Lao PDR, led by Mr. Wannachith and his two colleagues, together with JICA Laos staffs were sent to Malaysia and Thailand during 4 – 9 October 2010. The purpose of the visit was to gain more information of Strengthening Quality Assurance Management in Education and Challenges as requested by Lao PDR to Thailand and Malaysia in J-SEAM Annual Meeting 2010 in Manila. The mission has had a series of discussions with related agencies, conducted by Ministry of Education.
J-SEAM (Japan-Southeast Asian Meeting for South-South Cooperation) is a framework under the technical cooperation of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
It facilitates needs-oriented South-South Cooperation among Southeast Asian countries.
